What the grader measures

Eleven of these run on every image; duplicate detection, image count and main image validation run across the gallery as a whole. Every value is read from your file and compared with Amazon’s published requirement.

Image resolution1600px on the longest side unlocks zoom; 1000px is the floor.
File sizeAmazon rejects anything over 10MB.
Aspect ratioSquare reads best across search, mobile and A+ placements.
File formatJPEG, PNG, GIF and TIFF are accepted; JPEG is preferred.
Background detectionThe main image needs pure white, RGB 255 255 255.
Blur detectionEdge sharpness scored so soft files are caught before upload.
BrightnessMean luminance, so nothing renders muddy or blown out.
ContrastTonal spread across the frame, measured not estimated.
Product coverageThe product should fill at least 85% of the main image frame.
Duplicate imagesPerceptual hashing finds near-identical slots wasting gallery space.

Main image validationEvery main-image rule checked together, pass or fail.

No. Every file is read and measured inside your own browser using the canvas API. Nothing is sent to a server, stored, or seen by us.

Amazon’s own published image requirements: 1000px minimum on the longest side, 1600px to enable zoom, 10MB file ceiling, pure white background on the main image, product filling at least 85% of the frame, and no text or logos on the main image.

It is a heuristic, not full character recognition. It looks for dense clusters of small high-contrast detail, which is what overlay text and badges look like to a computer. Treat a flag as a prompt to look at the image yourself.

No. This grades technical quality and compliance, which is the floor. Whether the images communicate the right benefits in the right order is a design and strategy question the numbers cannot answer.
